Positive Caring

Positive Caring

Free local sessions

Positive caring is the collective umbrella of FREE learning and training opportunities that are on offer to unpaid carers in Gloucestershire. Any person who provides substantial care or support for a family member, friend or child with an additional need, is welcome to attend.

The A to Z of caring

The A to Z of caring

Being a carer means more than simply caring. Many carers manage money, dispense medication, and deal with complex medical and mental health issues – and that’s just for a start.

There’s no training. There’s no salary. We just get on and do it.

That’s why we’ve created a series of learning and support sessions dedicated to carers.

Our friendly, informal courses are run by trained facilitators who have worked in health and social care and have an in-depth knowledge of carer issues.

Who can attend?

Any unpaid carer who provides substantial care or support for a family member, friend or child with an additional need. You do not need to be the main carer or live with the person you care for. We can organise replacement care for your loved one, and transport to the training, if necessary.

Call us on 01452 500885 or email to register your interest or book onto any of the courses for free.
