Updates to support for carers from April 2019

Services for adult carers, previously provided by Carers Gloucestershire transferred, along with many former team members to the Gloucestershire Carers Hub provided by PeoplePlus in April 2019.

With commissioned services for adult carers moving to PeoplePlus, Carers Gloucestershire no longer provides these services. Read about the changes and the services that have transferred here.

The Carers Gloucestershire phone number, 0300 111 9000 has transferred to the Gloucestershire Carers Hub, so please continue to use this number to access carer support or email carers@peopleplus.co.uk

Future plans

Future plans

The loss of contract income and transfer of staff has had a significant impact on Carers Gloucestershire.

So that the Board of Trustees can consider how the charity can best provide support to carers in the future, Carers Gloucestershire is pausing all day-to-day business and is currently undertaking a strategic review.

Until the end of 2019, the Board will undertake research and analysis into future options for the charity.  As part of this review, they will be seeking the views of carers, former colleagues, volunteers and other local organisations in the coming months.

Updates will be provided on the website and via our Facebook and Twitter feeds.
