Services for carers, led by Carers Gloucestershire transferred, along with front line team members to the Gloucestershire Carers Hub in April 2019.

Read about the changes and the services that have transferred here.

With the contract for adult carers’ support commissioned by Gloucestershire County Council and the NHS Clinical Commissioning Group moving to PeoplePlus, Carers Gloucestershire no longer provides these services.

The Carers Gloucestershire phone number, 0300 111 9000 has transferred to the Gloucestershire Carers Hub, so please continue to use this number to access carer support or email carers@peopleplus.co.uk

Future plans

Future plans

The loss of contract income and transfer of staff has had a significant impact on Carers Gloucestershire.

So that the Board of Trustees can consider how the charity can best provide support to carers in the future, Carers Gloucestershire is pausing all day-to-day business to undertake a strategic review from April 2019 and the current offices at Messenger House, 35 St Michael’s Square, Gloucester, GL1 1HX will close at the end of April.

Until the end of 2019, the Board will undertake research and analysis into future options for the charity.  As part of this review, they will be seeking the views of carers, former colleagues, volunteers and other local organisations in the coming months.

Conversations are underway with the commissioners of remaining services and updates will be provided in due course.

Updates will be provided on the website and via our Facebook and Twitter feeds.
