Involving carers in decision-making

Involving carers in decision-making

When the person you care for goes into hospital, it can be a worrying time. On top of concerns about your loved one’s health, you need to consider practical things too.

  • What will happen during their stay in hospital?
  • How will you cope when they come home?
  • Have their care needs changed?

It’s important that carers are actively involved in decisions made during a patient’s hospital stay, as well as discharge plans. That’s why we offer a support service especially for carers in Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and Cheltenham General Hospital.

Our hospital liaison officer can give you a helping hand during your loved one’s stay.
