Advice and guidance

Information and signposting for carers

Getting the right advice and guidance can make all the difference to your life as a carer. Perhaps you want to organise respite care so you can take a well-earned break? Or get to grips with the benefits system so you can get the right financial support?

As a carer, complicated paperwork and automated phone lines can leave you feeling frustrated and confused when you are trying to access information.

Written by experienced carer advisers, the following sections may point you in the right direction.  However, if you wish to speak with someone, please call the Gloucestershire Carers Hub, managed by PeoplePlus on 0300 111 9000.

Please note, Carers Gloucestershire is currently not able to offer advice for carers. You can read more about changes to adult carer support services here.

If you'd like to talk to someone about any aspect of your caring role, please call the Gloucestershire Carers Hub on 0300 111 9000.
