Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust delivers acute health services to the communities in Gloucestershire and surrounding counties. Services are provided from Cheltenham General, Delancey and Gloucestershire Royal hospitals, and increasingly we provide services from community hospitals across Gloucestershire and beyond.

Gloucestershire County Council

The Local Authority provides a range of services to Carers, both directly and indirectly, through other voluntary and commercial organisations. They support Carers Gloucestershire through both the Community & Adult Care budget and the Carers Grant.

 

Gloucestershire PCT

The PCT is made up of 83 GP Practices and 11 community hospitals. It also provides a range of community services such as podiatry, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, district nursing and health visiting. The main role of the PCT is to:

  • engage with the local population to improve health and well being
  • commission a comprehensive and equitable range of high quality, responsive and efficient services and;
  • directly provide services where this gives best value.

Gloucestershire Young Carers Gloucestershire

Gloucestershire Young Carers aim to create a network of support for young Carers across the county, working with them to ensure that service providers understand their needs and respond appropriately.

The Princess Royal Trust for Carers

The Princess Royal Trust for Carers is the largest provider of comprehensive carers support services in the UK. Through its unique network of 133 independently managed Carers' Centres , 83 young carers services and interactive websites, Carers.org and YC Net, The Trust currently provides quality information, advice and support services to almost 310,000 carers, including over 15,500 young Carers.
