This year's gathering of Group Leaders proved to be an excellent day, with over 15 Groups from around the county being represented by both Group Leader and, in many cases, a Deputy or volunteer Carer from the Group.

After a presentation on ‘The Benefits of being under the Umbrella of Carers Gloucestershire'  Tim Poole, Chief Executive, Carers Gloucestershire went on to say a big ‘thank you' to all Group Leaders for the work they do.   He spoke about the challenge we face as an organisation - locally and nationally, how Carers Gloucestershire can help and also took a look at what our organization will be working towards in the future. 

This was followed by a workshop to look at ways that we, as an organisation, can work together more effectively  with Carers Groups to promote Carer awareness, reaching out to the many ‘hidden Carers' throughout the county.
