Ways of supporting Carers Gloucestershire
We are often asked by people how they can become more involved with Carers Gloucestershire. The precise level of involvement varies from person to person but the common theme is one of people wanting to put something back into an organisation that has helped or is helping them.
There are a number of ways to support us. You can:
- Become a volunteer with Carers Gloucestershire.
There are a team of volunteers undertaking a range of very different tasks under the guidance of Roger Hare, our Volunteer Coordinator. Tasks range from completing mail outs to visiting GP surgeries on our behalf. Whatever the task, full training and support are given.

- Become a Member of Carers Gloucestershire
Membership is free and runs from 1 April to 31 March each year. You will receive regular mailings keeping you abreast of our activities and be invited to take part, and vote on resolutions, in our AGM.

- Make a contribution to Carers Gloucestershire
This can be by way of a one off donation or a regular monthly/quarterly/annual contribution. All contributions are used for the direct benefit of Carers. If you are a UK tax payer you are able to maximise the value of your contribution to us by completing the Gift Aid declaration. By doing so Carers Gloucestershire are able to recover from the Inland Revenue the gross amount of tax payable on your payment (currently 28%). In this way a £10.00 donation becomes £12.80… but still only costs you £10.

- Leave a Legacy or Gift in Memory
If you would like Carers Gloucestershire to benefit from your estate on your death, please contact us for details on Legacies. You may also want to consider making a gift in memory of someone close to you, perhaps in lieu of flowers.
