Carers Week, you'll no doubt know, is a national week of events that aims to highlight and celebrate the role of carers everywhere.
Our contribution was the one in ten roadshow, organised by Carers Gloucestershire,
Each event revolved around activities such as street entertainment, information stalls
one in ten reflects the number of people likely to be in a caring role across the County - around 60,000 people in all. As an organisation Carers Gloucestershire aims to offer help and support to as many as we can reach and Carers Week/ the one in ten roadshow is a key time in the year for us to get out and spread the message.
We had between 700 and 800 people through the events this year ranging from people who had received information from us about the roadshow, had seen the publicity, read about us in the press or who we encountered ‘on the day'. As |

This year also saw the introduction of a free prize draw with prizes donated by local businesses - including tickets to see a Gloucester rugby club match, 18 holes of golf for four people at Brickhampton Court Golf Complex, spa days, food hampers, and wine tasting sessions (
