The next Carers Forum is on Wednesday 17th July 2013 at the Guildhall in Gloucester (Eastgate Street, Gloucester, GL1 1NS) 9.30am to 2.00pm (Registration, tea/coffee 9.30-10 am, lunch 1 – 2 pm)
Evening Forum will be held at Carers Gloucestershire (Messenger House, St Michael's Square, Gloucester, GL1 1HX (Registration and refreshments 6.00pm - 6.30pm, Forum 6.30pm - 8.30pm)
You are welcome to attend the whole forum (Day or Evening) or to dip in and out for an Agenda item relevant to you.
The Forum, open to all carers, is a quarterly event that aims to provide Carers with a collective voice on their key issues, and is driven by Carers through the Gloucestershire Carers Alliance. Gloucestershire Carers Alliance is a strong, independent, diverse and inclusive carer-led and carer-centred organisation influencing policy and services to improve outcomes for all Carers.
The Forum enables you to meet other Carers as well as those decision makers in statutory agencies who set policy for the services you need.
The Evening Forum will provide an opportunity to catch up on the various day time presentations from both the carer of adults and Parent Carer Forums. It is held at 6.00 – 8.30pm (including refreshments), Carers Gloucestershire, 2nd floor, Messenger House, 35 St Michaels Square, Gloucester, GL1 1HX.
Below is a Membership Form for ‘Adult Carers United’, an independent organisation for Carers of adults. Carers when putting together proposals for the way forward for Carers’ Voice in Gloucestershire saw a gap for an independent group to represent carers of adults.
