Learning Disabilities Support PDF Print E-mail

We offer specific advice and support to those caring for someone with a Learning Disability.

The Advice Worker can:

  • Help with finding your way through the Welfare Benefit system and ensuring that you are receiving all the benefits you are entitled to.
  • Help with filling in the forms and appealing against benefit decisions.
  • Inform you of what appropriate services are available and help you to access them.
  • Give information on a wide range of topics e.g. transport, equipment, short breaks and holidays.
  • Help with accessing various funding and grant-giving bodies.
  • Most importantly, we are also here to listen to you and give support.

The Advice and Advocacy Service is free to all Carers and may save you time and worry. If you feel we could help, please contact us on 01452 386283.
