Carers Gloucestershire is a registered charity (no.1110529) and also a company limited by guarantee in England and Wales (no. 5475527). The organisation is governed by a Board of Trustee Directors the Chair and Vice Chair of which are elected and appointed annually from the serving Directors. The Board will have a minimum of eight and maximum of twelve Directors. To ensure that we are truly Carer led, under the Memorandum & Articles of Association of Carers Gloucestershire the Board shall be made up of at least four Carers or former Carers. Through its unique network of 133 independently managed Carers' Centres , 83 young carers services and interactive websites, Carers.org and YC Net, The Trust currently provides quality information, advice and support services to almost 310,000 carers, including over 15,500 young carers.
